The Institution’s Governing Council of Federal University, Oye Ekiti on Tuesday sacked the Registrar of the institution, Mr Olatunbosun Odusanya.
This nearly a week after Mr Olatunbosun Odusanya was suspended from his post in the institution.
Mr Odusanya was suspended by the University Governing Council, chaired by Dr Mohammed Yahuza, to allow proper investigation into allegations of misconduct levelled against him over irregularities in recent appointments between the duration of 1st August, 2020 and 10th February, 2021 with the memo Ref. No: FUOYE/VC/CD/007 dated 6th April, 2021, for act of misconduct in the appointments.
However, his sack was approved after the council had a critically check at a report presented by the Council Disciplinary Committee, which was set up to review the report of the investigative committee that reviewed all appointments during the said period.
The decision was taken on Tuesday during the council’s meeting presided by the Chairman.
This was made open in a statement on Wednesday by the University’s Chief Information Officer, Foluso Ogunmodede and the Special Adviser on Media Matters to the Vice-Chancellor, Wole Balogun, titled, ‘FUOYE Governing Council sacks Odusanya as Registrar’.
The Council has approved the appointment of Mr Mufutau Ibrahim as FUOYE’s acting Registrar.
